Gsx 1989 600 cuting out after 30 mins of running need to wait ten mins to cool before starting had carb stripped and rebuilt

The hydroloic pump that operates the lift is failing. The drive operates on a separate pump so that pump is good. Find the pump that the lift rams hoses go to. That's the one you need to examine. Check all connections. Electrical, hydrolic lines, vacume hoses... everything. If all that checks out, then you need to have the pump rebuilt or replaced

Definatley a fuel / carb problem . remove carb-remove fuel bowel turn carb upside down float should be level to carb body if not replace needle and seat. drain fuel from tank into a clear container to see if there is water in fuel (water will settle to bottom of container ) also check jet in middle of carb to see if plugged.

your ignition coil are going bad, they need to be replaced. once the car gets hot the circuit shut down the car when hot. once they cool your riding again until they get hot. thats your problem. Good Luck

Tools(1) A compression gauge (2) a spark gap tester.(3) A Clymer service manual for your engine. (you can purchase from your local dealer. I know all these are expensive but if your going to be a polaris tech you will always need them. Troubleshooting (1) check compression. Look at your Clymer manual for specific psi.all cylinders need to be over 100 lbs and equal each other within 5 lbs.(2) check spark. use a spark gap tester all cylinders should jump a half inch gap. if you have good compression and good spark, fuel is the problem nine
times out of ten.Ethanol gas is proven to stay stable in fuel systems for only 30 days in 90 + degree heat. Drain gas tank,clean fuel lines replace and replace all fuel filters. Polaris has a gravity filter under seat, clean it. Finally replace spark plugs, I know spark plugs probably don't look bad but this is a C.D.ignition. Fresh spark plugs means less resistance for the ignition system. The ignition system is week compared to automotive. Test drive polaris, if the problem is still there then there is further steps to take. If your polaris is fuel injected. Pull out your clymer manual. what is great about the Clymer Manual for Novice techs is it gives detailed info on your polaris. Troubleshooting tips and teaches you how your polaris works. If its carburetor then you should clean carburetors. Inside the carbs is another filter that needs to be cleaned. Its not difficult you just make sure you put everything back in proper order. take pictures if you need to.

Sounds like it sat allot.. That causes problems with the carbs.. I would say it runs pretty good for sitting so much.. I would suspect the carbs need cleaning.. or maybe rebuilt,, jetted and synced.. Try some carb cleaner and work you way up from there..

Fuel system has to hold 3 to 7 psi for ten minutes. fix any leaks. Check to make sure that your water temp sender is working right and or that the water system is not clogged.
If it thinkd that it is over heating the rev limiter will drop to a lower rpm. hope that helps

30 min learn procedure turn on key wait 10 turn off attemp to start leave key on wait anouther ten key off attempt to start leave key on anouther ten turn key off attempt to start should be fine.

Your carb. definitely needs to be rebuilt. If you are mechanical you can get a kit and do it yourself.

Are the cabies flooding or runing out of fuel? pull the choke on dose it help if it does low fuel.

Drain the bowls and see if there is plenty of fuel.....If its flooding turn the fuel off or block it when the engine starts to drop clys if it starts to pick up after 10secs or so the carbies are flooding
