Sounds like your coil unit then mate if coil is new and you put new spark plug in I'd start with that if no joy that's where it can get expensive it maybe the stator plate on the flywheel as they're magnetic and generate the vaultage that creates the spark hope it helps

Why do i not have fire to spark plugs after changing coil pack

If you're not getting fire to the spark plugs after changing the coil pack, it could be due to a few different issues: Faulty new coil pack: It's possible that the new coil pack you installed is faulty or not compatible with your vehicle. Double-check the specifications of the coil pack and make sure it's the correct one for your make and model. Faulty spark plugs: If the spark plugs were not replaced along with the coil pack, they could be worn or damaged and not firing properly. Check the condition of the spark plugs and replace them if necessary. Wiring issues: There could be a problem with the wiring or connections between the coil pack and the spark plugs. Check all of the wiring and connections to make sure they're secure and free of damage or corrosion. Bad ignition control module: The ignition control module (ICM) controls the timing of the spark and sends a signal to the coil pack to fire. If the ICM is faulty, it could prevent the spark plugs from firing. Check the ICM for any signs of damage or wear, and replace it if necessary. Faulty crankshaft position sensor: The crankshaft position sensor tells the computer when to fire the spark plugs. If the sensor is faulty, it could prevent the spark plugs from firing. Check the sensor for any signs of damage or wear, and replace it if necessary. If you've checked all of the above and still can't find the problem, it may be best to take your vehicle to a mechanic or dealership for further diagnosis and repair.

Dead miss on one cylinder 99 sl2

A quick way to check the single coil pack if you know for sure which cylinder is miss firing and its setting a code you can swap the coil pack to another cylinder and see if the miss changes from one cylinder to another. If it travels to where you moved the coil then the coil is bad,if not you have other problems.

1999 saturn sputters and stalls on steep grades

Check fuel pressure with gauge. The filter could be dirty or weak pump. Then check injectors. That can be done by unplugging one at a time and holding the brake in a safe direction, and applying the gas and seeing if there is a greater change on one injector versing another; however, makes sure that all of your spark plugs are doing their job, including your coils and module. The spark can be tested using a spark tester that has a screw type adjuster that goes from 10k to maybe 45k. You keep twisting it out until you get no spark, then adjust it back in until you get a blue fire. At this point check all of the spark plug wires. They should be able to make the same spark. If not, check that line of fire wire, plug, and coil, etc. Good luck.

How to replace the ignition control module on a 94 Saturn SL

There are 4 bolts that hold the coil and module down. If you follow the spark plug wires, they will lead you to the right area. The bolts should be 8mm or close. The module is under the coil packs. Just unplug them and take them to Auto zone to test unless you are sure...then just reverse what you did, done.

I just got a 97 saturn it cranks but wont start. i replaced the eecm under the coil packs. it sparks 2 times and nothing after that. the battery was bad and i replaced that. same problem.

make sure ign module bolts ar tight and module is making good contact with trans case, if all is good you probebly have a bad crankshaft position sensor causing no spark.

Car runs but jumps while driving

Take your coil packs off as well as your module whch is on the bottom of your coil pack (4 bolts 8mm)and take them down to your nearest AutoZone and they will test them for free...one of the coil packs could be bad, but just as well test the module while you are at it.
