On your vette I cant remember if it is vaccuum operated or manual cable but either way get a manual for the car that has a/c heat in it . You either have a vaccuum line that broke or a bad diaphram or a broke cable. I am almost sure its vaccuum but check that first then look at diagram and slowly work your way from the engine to inside car. you can also try to listen for it with the car running. if its a cable operated then look underdash for the blend door and follow the cable to the a/c control on the dash . one of the two. if you cant find a diagram google it. does the controls feel any different now when truning them ?

98 carolla heater blows cold ,I flushed system replace t stat check flow switch its working. when defrost, heat lever in heat position air blows out ac vent.

The mode selector is bad. IF you look at the plenum (where the fan motor is ) you should see two levers one is hot cold the other is mode. Check them by moving the controls and see if they move.
If the mode lever moves then the door on the inside is broken or something could have fallen in the vents and is blocking it.

My Air Cond. cold Air blows out the feet vents, but not the dash vents...WHY??

You most likely have a vacuum leak not allowing the vacuum operated vent/duct inside your instrument panel to operate. Check all of your rubber vacuum hoses in the engine compartment for leaks, cracks or breaks .

I have a 1985 F150. After seeing a pink nose poke out of one of my dash vents, I determined that I had wild life living in my truck. I have cleaned out the blower motor housing under the hood, the box...

If you had rats or some other type of wild life in your heating vents, it would be my guess that they dragged some nesting material like paper, rags, straw into your heating ductwork. Just a guess.

I have a 1995 Corvette and when I turn the air conditioner on the dashboard vents does not blow cool air

the a/c control is electric for temp control and vacuum for mode control when a leak occurs it defaults to defrost floor .look for a leak or broken vacuum line first then control panel then mode actuator.

The heat is no longer coming for the vent at your feet nor any other vent

The cable behind the slider lever in the center console has slipped through the holding clamp. Remove the heater/cooling panel in center console and pull the cable back and tighten clamp. just do the lever that lets you shift from vent to foot to body.

AC/Heat/Defrost inoperable

Chanses are its either the blend door motor quit working or the controls ( temp., selector, blower) in dash are bad, my 95 did the same thing i chg. the blend door motor thinking it was that, but it turned out to be the controls in the dash, 5 minutes work and 140.00 later it was fixed.

Vent/heat/defrost broken Volvo 760

I have the same car and had the same problem. The inside air intake for the heater system is located above the passenger's feet. An empty plastic bag got sucked in there and kept the door from moving properly. I had to take off a few panels, then one on the vent. Once I removed the bag, no problem.

Cold Air Not Blowing Through Vents

Your last guess is probably the right one. The deflectors/directors are vacuum controlled and you may have vacuum line either broken or disconnected; these aren't fun to find. I would start under the hood and make sure the vacuum reservoir is intact (have seen them cracked) and then start tracing hoses from there.

'04 Jeep Grand Cherokee: Heats...but only through defrost vents.

Check the control cable that operates the diverter door in the heater box at both ends, to make sure that it operates the door when you move the control lever.
