This happens on any bike when it has been filled with too much oil and has been taken on a long run. There is a breather pipe (for air and oil fumes) between the engine and the air filter box. When there is too much oil in the engine it pushes up the pipe into the air box, then drips out where it can. Check oil level properly, ensure bike is level, not on sidestand, read manual on how to check the oil level. If necessary take some out, the easiest way is to do a normal oil change, or repeatedly syringe oil out of the oil filler hole. Then wipe clean the airbox interior and if the air filter is oily change it.

My back end seal is leakig

"The rear main bearing seal? This is expensive to get at, about $1000. Unless the oil is pouring out I'd just put a drip tray under it and top up the oil occasionally.

I have a vstar 1100 i have oil in the breather box why

hi there this is a common problem with bikes the oil comes from a breather hose which is connected to your crankcase which blows and stops unwanted fibers getting into your bottom end i would firstly start by replacing your air-filter. if it is a huge puddle of oil you could be in a little bit of trouble. you may have piston rin or valve stem damage. if u test your compression on the engine it will let you know.. thanks ladjr2

What happens if you put too much oil when you do an oil change in a Vstar Silverado?

You might pop a seal , tear a gasket, or fill your air box with oil fowling a perfectly good air filter. Place a clean pan under the drain plug and without completely removing the plug bleed out enough oil to get the correct level in the bike. Then, save the oil for topping up or your next change.
