I have a 2007 V Star 1100 with 9700 miles on it. Recently, I have an oil leak coming from the rear cylinder exhaust between the pipe seams. It has gotten very severe the last week, and now it misses and pops when I start it up - lots of blue smoke. The miss is so bad the bike is not rideable. I know oil is getting into the cylinder but don't know where from. Valve stem seals? Broken piston ring? ???

First off did you buy it new? Second has it gone through its break in tune up yet?Did you do the re jeting? My guess is it was re jeted wrong & neeeds to be re jeted again or could also need more air(upgraded air kit) or a tfi or power comand fuel mod.My bike also poped untill I did the air & fuel upgrades & them upgrades will also give you a much needed house power needed for this rig.
Bring it to a shop & have it looked at.......
Good luck

Your barrel? LOL. Sounds like the valves need to be gone through. I would suggest taking and valve train apart and put it back together correctly then go from there.
