If you move the throttle linkage on the carb you will see which of the mounting holes rises and which goes the oppisite way. normally the front 1 is the pull and the rear is the push. do the same on the cables by twisting the throttle on and off so you can see which 1 goes which way. hope this helps

Hi can you tell me where the engine idle speed screw is on a kawasaki 750 zephyw please

There should be a knob between the middle carbs. Usually on the bottom some on the top. Follow the throttle cables to the carbs and look around there.

How do i disconnect the throttle cable from the carburetor so that I can take out the carburetor and clean it.

the throttle cable DOES NOT attach to the carb on that engine. It attaches to the control panel underneath the carb. you have linkage rods that connect and they either have clips or you need to pull the carb mounting studs

When did you last change your air filter? there is also a separate filter assembly on the top of the housing. Are the air box/carb rubbers in good condition and sealing correctly?. Had the same problem on mine and it turned out to be the rubbers had came of the bottom of the carb

Kawasaki EL250 carburettor

Turn off the gas and remove the float bowl. Remove the fuel line. Remove the float pin and float with needle valve. Do not bend the tang that the float needle sits on. Spray carb cleaner into the seat where the needle valve came from to clear out any trash in the valve casing. Spray the float bowl and interior of the carb. Remount the needle and float back in place and put the float bowl back on. Install an in-line fuel filter. The diagram below shows a 1994 carb Yours will be the same or close to it.
