Slight flicker with headlights. Replaced battery which was needed. Headlights still flicker. Had changed out original lamps with brighter lamps. Could this be the problem?

Bad plugs on the bulbs.Bad grounded lights wiring.Bad alternator ground.Bad alternator charge.Bad lights switch. Also ,the new lamps may show more sensibility in voltange change or put more pressure on a older bad wiring link.

Testimonial: "Cleaned three ground-wire connections under hood. Problem appears to be solved. Checked for possible alternator problem by checking voltage across battery with lights, air conditioning and radio turned on. No flickering and alternator constant supply of 14.0 volts to battery at 2500 rpm. Thanks for your input!"

SOURCE: headlights flickering off and on 1999 mustang

do you have the fog lamps on at the same time? If yes, don't use them.

If not, it could be the headlamp switch. Something is drawing too much current.

The headlamp switch will cause the lamps to turn off. The switch heats up and turns the headlamps off. It will cool down and work for about 10 minutes and cut out,

SOURCE: Two Days ago , at night when headlights, dash

This can be poor grounding of the engine and alternator and battery as there is a potential drop. It can also be due to a mismatch with high load when the charging voltage is not balanced.
So since the alternator was replaced the rectifier/regulator also can have a small leak which is producing the soft light which goes off when the headlight is swithced off. A test may not show this because the charge would be seen but the fault is a tiny ac leak into the system due to the weak regulator. It might fail in the long run or casue static in radio.

Why does my headlight on my Harley Road King 2003 keep flashing or flickering

Sometimes, a headlight may start flickering due to physical damage to headlight components. The inside of the connector may start to melt, causing a poor connection. the bulbs or lamps of your headlights are old or damaged, it can cause the headlights to flicker. Fortunately, this can be a relatively quick fix.

When the alternator starts to give out, your car’s electrical output is affected. This could result in flickering, dimming, or inoperative headlights, as the headlights depend on power from the vehicle's battery. When the alternator is unable to charge the battery, the vehicle's electrical system will quickly drain the battery. One of the most common causes of headlight flickering is a dying battery. Your headlights rely on power from the battery to function properly. If the battery is failing, flickering, or dimming headlights may be the result. In this situation.

Change the bulb. When you press the pedal the brake switch changes the circuit to the 21w brighter circuit for the brake light.

I have an 07 chevy avalanche ltz and my headlights strobe they don't completly go off but they flicker brighter and then back to normal, its intermittent I have noticed that my interior lights also do...

Sounds like a fault with either the fuse board or a damaged wire somewhere along the loom i would go for the fuse board first and try taking a fuse out for the headlights and the side lights ect and chhecking with a meter to see if any current is present on the opposite side to the fuse

1993 chevy silverado parking lamps go of when i turn on headlights, signal lights flicker when i press on brake.

Yes I would look for a ground circuit problem. I would look at the ground wires for the headlights first. Even run a new ground wire for the tail lights to see if it helps.
Could be a ground connection for the body to frame or body to battery.

When car is at idle theres no problem, but when rpm go up all interior and headlights flicker.

Do the lights flicker brighter than they are at idle or dimmer? If they flicker brighter, voltage regulator in alternator is suspect. If they flicker dimmer, you likely have a loose power cable either on the battery or on the fuse and relay center or on the alternator.

How to Change the Headlights in a 2008 Lancer ES

You shouldn't have to remove the entire headlight assembly to change the bulbs; They should either twist out, snap out, or have a spring clip that holds the bulbs in.
