Error code 51 on dast yamaha r6 2007 how can i erase it? Bike wont start just the motor turns over.

  • Anonymous Apr 27, 2009

07 R6- The bike was traded in at the Toyota Dealership i work at ( I'm trying to buy it cheap and fix it myself) and isn't starting after sitting here 2 days. It was laid down by the previous owner soon after purchase and has 97 miles on it. I haven't been able to try anything myself since they still trying to get to much. Engine light is on and only code i saw was 14. Cranks fine but no ignition.

Could be a safety shutdown by computer, only your dealer can erase the code....and then you'll find out whats wrong...and why the computer doesn't want you starting and damaging the bike.......Good Luck to you friend....Tim

How can fix error code 21in bosch washing machine

F21 (or E21) normally indicates a fault with the motor or the main control board.

Try erasing the stored codes first, in case it's a spurious fault

Turn the knob to off.

Close the door.

Turn the knob to 6 o'clock position.

Wait 2 seconds.

The start/pause should begin flashing.

Press and hold the spin button.

Turn the knob to 7 o'clock position.

Wait 2 seconds.

Release the button.

Turn the knob to off.

This should erase the error code and get you running again.

If the error code returns, you have a problem with the motor (most likely carbon brushes), wiring or main control.

If the machine won't go into diagnostics to erase the error code, it would suggest a faulty control board.

Try it several times to see if you get it reset.

If the start button doesn't flash, just carry on trying to erase the codes.

Battery voltage drop

Sounds like the starter motor itself. Does the engine turn at all when you try to crank it?

Error code 40, found problem, still wont start

you can disconnect the battery to clear the codes. If I remember correctly the code 40 is indicating an open injector circuit. You might want to check that area as well as the service manual for more detail

I have a tdr125 (03) and it wont start the starting motor turns over but it jus wont catch can anyone help

If the engine won't fire so to speak, it is either fuel starvation or an electrical problem stopping the spark plug from igniting the fuel.
If investigating these is beyon your knowledge base, you will need to take your bike to a motor bike repair shop.
