SOURCE: chain tension
Most any motorcycle comes with an adjustable chain device on the rear swing arm. as you adjust the small nut inwards towards the front of the bike, it tightens the chain. Likewise for loosening. the adjuster should have increment markings on both sides of the swingarm to even the wheel out. Now I can't say for sure that this is the case with your bike, so I just joined a website that has a forum on these bikes. If you'd like to join as well here is the address http://www.ducati.ms/ I'll get the info from them and relay it back to you. Hope this helps
SOURCE: chain tension
HI, you will need a C spanner, behind the rear sprocket is the adjuster,it is the ring with the cutouts in it, first loosen the two bolts on the end of the swinging arm then move the ring in a clockwise direction to tension the chain, if you are very carefull you can do this with a punch and hammer but be carefull, have fun
SOURCE: How do I cancel the service indicator on my ducati
sadly its like the ones on cars you have to take it to a dealer to plug into there machine and reset it, then they charge you the earth for two minute job, try to ignore it and just make a record when it needs to be serviced again

That is not the fuel pump you hear, the pump is vacuum and the noise you hear is the ignition coming to life. Don't use any additives in your fuel, bad news, and just use the choke only, twisting the throttle does nothing till the engine starts. The choke is a slow speed jet. There is no way to check the air filter without pulling the seat and lifting the tank. But I have never found mine dirty, and I live on a dirt road. I call it the multistrada. 02 ,S4. Are you burning high test? 92 octane? How about keeping it warm or under cover? I think the fuel problem might be the dampness, humidity, etc, How about them spark plugs? Check them lately? I switched to autolites, they work a lot better than the champions. Hope this helps.
