Randomly bogg down in all gears

I bought a 96 bandit 600 and as I was driving it home the bike would bogg out and start slowing down. I would downshift to maintian speed but would bogg out in every gear. I thought it was cuz I had no gas or that the oil was low. I went and put gas in it the next day and checked the oil level, which was fine. I thought it was hot so I let it sit for 20 minutes and then drove it about 5 miles and the same problem with bogging. After 1 final attempt, I drove 10 miles without a problem. Help! I don't know what is wrong with it. I'm going to take it to a mechanic monday, but if someone could give me some trouble shooting advice before hand I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

What is prime on petrol tap on bandit 600 1997.what position should arrow be pointing for on /off/reserve.cheers bandit.

Prime is for when you have taken the carbs off and need to fill up the float bowls. And your arrow should be pointing to ON when your driving the bike. Usually this is UP or to the rear of the bike on most bikes if it doesnt have a engraving on the petcock to show you.you can also check an owners manual online for the correct position.

Gsf 600 bandit starts and idles but cuts out when pulling away

This could be ignition related or a fuel problem or even a combination. If you not mechanically minded you are probably better off taking it to a shop. If you would like to try some things first I would recommend changing the fuel filter and the spark plugs(make sure to gap them properly) if that doesn't work. After that it gets more complicated and the shop is your best best.

How good is this bike for long tours?

The bandit 600 would be great for the twists and turns on european roads, but I suspect it might be to uncomfortable for long distances. It's not a touring motorcycle, and it's suspension is a bit stiff to run on long distances.
