SOURCE: when I ride my 2000 fatboy my speedometer doesn't

Try inside the tach on the connector. But also remove your speed sensor on the transmission and clean it. They pick up metal chips from the trans and short out. Also, HD had a bunch of bad speedos around your year. They replaced them for free. Doubtful they will replace yours at this late date. You might end up buying a new speedo.

SOURCE: 2002 flstfi fatboy. Speedometer and odomerter stopped working. Lights on speedometer and odom. do work. Blinker auto turn off stopped working as well at same time. What are the possible problems?

Remove the speed sensor at the left rear of the trans housing and clean off any metal shavings on it. Shavings get caught on the magnet and won't let the sensor read properly.

SOURCE: 2003 fatboy turn signal cancelling switch replace

The module comes in three different plug-in styles. Simply plug in and replace your old broken OEM canceller.

2003 Pontiac Bonneville speedometer, fog light switch, turn signal and A/C stopped working?

For strangeness like that you need a good local auto electrician with a pro grade scan tool computer. It sounds like a BCM (body control module) communication issue.

My speedometer has stopped working we have decided maby its a sensor were is this sensor located on a 03 fatboy

On the right side, and the top rear of the trans case. Before you buy a new one, remove the allen bolt holding the sensor in the trans case. Twist the sensor slightly while pulling up to remove it. Clean off any metal shavings on the magnetic sensor, then reinstall it and see if cleaning it fixed your problem. If it doesn't, you will need a new sensor.

I have a 1999 Dyna wide glide & speedometer stopped working & turn signals stay on...how to fix this problem???

There is a "reed switch" in the speedometer that cancels the turn signals. If the speedometer is not working, then the reed switch is probably not working either. If you'll contact me directly at [email protected] , I'll send you a trouble shooting guide for the turn signals in jpg format. Don't forget to remind me of what you need.

Blinkers on my 1999 fatboy don't flash they just stay on. Is there a blinker relay.

No, your bike is equipped with a turn signal cancelling unit instead of the old style flasher. It is usually located underneath the dash and speedometer on the Softail series of bikes. It's a "black box" about 1 1/2" wide X 3" long X 1/2 thick with a large plug on the face on one end and mounting bolt in the center. If you'll contact me directly, I'll send you a trouble shooting guide. [email protected]

2001 Harley Davidson FLSTF Fat Boy speedometer not working @

Hi, Rhargett3 and the usual suspects are:
1. Contaminated or faulty speed sensor.
2. Faulty turn signal module.
3. Corroded, broken or loose connector pins/sockets in the wire harness between the speedometer and the ECM or TSSM and the sensor.
4. The speedometer unit has failed.
5. Speedometer instrument fuse has blown.
