No spark there is no spark when i press the start button, i have replaced rhe spark plugs, still nothing. any one have any ideas.

First remove plug hold it against the engine have someone to pull cord while holding plug an watch for spark. If it does you have a fuel problem. Its a good idea to replace the plug anyway. They are a common problem rhat goes bad easily. If you have spark empty fuel tank remove carb. Purchase a rebuild kit, very cheap, an replace rhe diaphram an other parts in kit. Be sure to clean out all the orifices with a small brass or steel bristle from a brush. Careful not to enlarge the ports. Use carb cleaner to clean all parts. Carb parts go bad after a couple of years. This is an easy project. Put carb back on an it should run if you put it all back together correctly. Making sure cables an spring are in exact places. I'm sorry, this question doesn't make any sense. It sparks when you press the start button then no more spark until you stop and press it again? What is going on in between pressing the start button and the stopping? Are you riding or are you sitting?

If you are certrain there is power going into the coils and there is NO spark (remove a plug, ground it, with the ignition on, press the start button - observe there is NO spark at the plug) replace the coils.

Sounds like the spark plug(s) is/are shorted internally! Make sure that the plug wiring boot(s) is/are not conducting spark directly to the plug base. If the boot(s) have metal covers, remove the covers and throw them away. (bad manufacturers idea) Hope this gets it running!

is it getting fuel? try tipping a very small amount of fuel down rhe plug hole, replace the plug if it fires you have a carb problem.

so that seems fine. I did some research and I think it's either along the lines of the spark plug(or ignition area) or maybe water in the float bowls from fueling up(?). I tried it again today and this time there was no *click* sound. I also noticed that the -neutral- and -check engine oil- lights which normally light up quickly at start up take a few seconds before lighting up. Now I think it's more in the electrical section but not exactly sure which area. I'm going to take a look at the spark plug and maybe try to drain any water out but was wondering if anyone had any other ideas?When you press start, the churning sound you (typically) hear is from the starter motor forcibly turning the crankshaft. While the starter is physically turning the engine, the engine is also injecting the fuel/air mixture into the cylinders and firing the spark plugs. If the plugs successfully ignite the incoming fuel/air mixture, the engine will begin turning itself over. If you press the button and nothing happens, or you just hear a click, the starter motor is not cranking the engine. The click you heard was probably the starter solenoid attempting to engage the starter to the flywheel of the crankshaft. The problem is probably the starter. It may be a bad battery. Reading the open voltage with no load on the battery tells you nothing. Put the voltmeter across the battery terminals and read the voltage while holding the Start button. ,,,
