I was at glen helen raceway yesterday when some one crashed in front of me, i smashed into his bike flipped over then laid there for a while. Wnen i got up my bike fired up for a second or 2 then shut down like hitting a wall. checked for spark and nothing. Checked wires check everything visually and it looks fine what can i do?
Remove the front number plate and inspect the cdi box, look 4 damage 2 the case then check wiring connectors-should a 4wire and a 6wire block.also check LH engine casing 4 damage (gear lever can smash it if u crash) this is where the stator coil is-which is the power source 4 the ignition system. hope this helps.good luck.
Sue the clumsy driver that caused the crash. I smell thousands of dollars here!
Aside from the law suit, check the fuses. Next check for spark. If no spark then check again with a new plug. Is the kill switch on? Does the side stand have a kill switch? Is it working properly? Tip-over kill switch on your bike? Check the operation of the ignition switch and all kill switches with a volt ohmmeter.
Check the loom. Did a wire come unplugged? Are all wires clean and with a solid connections? Any abraded or pinched wires? Is the bike in neutral and the neutral light is lit up? If no neutral light, check the neutral switch and neutral switch wire on center casing. With a little luck this will get you back on the track.
