.004-.006" Exhaust side

plug out, take fat screw in select lever out, take pull start off, turn motor counter clockwise until you hit T I when that I lines up dead center in hole - and both valves have a clearance - (if they don't go around again) there's your spec. The easiest way to stay withih spec - put it on .003 and tighten when it puts drag on feeler gauge .005 for exhaust side.

Intake: 0.05 - 0.09 mm (0.002 ~ 0.004 in)
Exhaust: 0.11 - 0.15 mm (0.004 ~ 0.006 in)

Just redone the top end of my 91 250 timberwolf atv 4x2

try to google for a manual for the timberwolf, with patience you'll find it. I do know that the piston must be at top dead center and both (intake and exaughst) valves must be closed.

Setting Timberwolf 250 timing

I think your bike has CDI ignition which means the ignition timing is fixed and cannot be changed. Are you having a problem of some sort?
