SOURCE: i need to remove the exhaust for a 2007 yamaha stratoliner.

i think you will find that the cables you are referring to as powervalve cables (if you are talking about the xv1900 in the picture)are not powervalve cales you will find that they are for the auto decompression valve in the cylinder head,if you follow them back you will find they terminate on a lever with a tensioner you can back off the tensioner to remove them but shouldnt have to just to remove the header, hope this helps

  • You have to remove the fuel tank.
  • Remove front seat. Use your key.
  • Remove rubber caps from the fuel shut off valves. Run screws in all the way to shut fuel off.
  • Remove speedo dash – 3 qty # 5mm Allen. Unplug all connectors including the small white one. Note order of plugs then un-snap from brackets on tank. Disconnect vent line.
  • To remove fuel tank. Remove decorative fins at the front of tank. 2 allens #4 on each side.
  • Remove two 10mm nuts at rear bracket holding tank.
  • Remove 2 qty 12mm bolts at the front bracket holding tank.
  • You can also swing the tank around and set it on the frame, or on a chair, without disconnecting the fuel lines. Remember to protect the frame and tank with a towel.
  • The air box is under the tank. Remove the top cover and replace the filter.
  • You can improve performance by removing some air restiction, Using a 1" hole saw drill 6 holes in air box cover to let it breath better.
NOTE: At least 1 person has reported that the soft fuel lines can start leaking after using this method multiple times. If you smell gas, it may be time to replace the stock fuel lines with a higher grade automotive gas line (7/16").

SOURCE: tire pressure for stratoliner

For riding 2 up I recommend 38 front and 42 rear. Some riders have commented on some front wobble corrected by putting the front to 40 psi.

Where is the oil fill hole on a stratoliner 2006 1900

  • There are a total of three plugs. Two of them are under the engine and the other one is under the crank case. The fill hole is on the bottom left front of the motor between the frame rail coming out of the bottom left side. Remove the oil fill plug out out of the front left bottom side of the inside of the frame rail. It's a tight fit so you will need a open ended wrench.

  • Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa.

Where are fuses on yamaha stratoliner s1900

they should be under your seat! if they are not then they are going to be under one of your side plastic covers (which should be also by your seat) those should easily snap unless there is a visible bolt holding them on.

Where is the battery on a Yamaha Stratoliner? I need to put a battery tender on mine. thanks asphalt Kidd

It is under the seat, under a portion of the wiring harness. Unlock the panel on the road side (not curb side) of the bike. Remove the rubber straps and you will find the battery.
