Just replaced carburetor & fuel line, but still giving me problems. When it does start it idles OK at first, but then revs up and shuts off all by itself. Then it won't start - engine turns over but won't start.
You have a fuel blockage problem. The fuel gets into the carby slowly and allows you to start but the rev increase is an indication that the air/ fuel ration is going lean and then the motor stops. The same as if you turn off the tap and let the engine run until it stops. It won't start again until there is sufficient fuel in the carby bowl to get to the main jet.
