My GSX R 1000, 2011 model motorcycle wont start or crank after Ive stack it. i broke the exhaust valve actuator and It now displays a FI warning light and it won't start. Does anyone know whether there's a bypass for this and can i safely ride it without causing bike to get more damages until the exhaust valve actuator parts arrive

hello and welcome
with that long of a storage period it is a safe bet that the jets in the carbs have plugged over. this can happen with little as a month or two without proper winterization or fuel conditioning prior to storage. so the carbs will need to be removed and cleaned properly. this is quite the task on the older v4 hondas. and i would reccomend a manual before doing so. after being removed a good can or two of aresol carb cleaner and a small gauge wire to break up builup can clean these carbs out. this is a very very common problem. and im sure you will find this to be the source for your no start. thank you.

Need to check the ECU for registered malfunction.You must take it to a dealer's workshop.Engine warning light means that a sensor is not working properly.

Check the kill switch rock it back and forth to be sure it is making contact. Open it up and spray it with contact cleaner that is safe for plastics available at radio shack. After sitting for four years I would start with the fuel system. New filter and NEW GAS and check the fuel lines for cracks and leaks. I have seen bikes that sat for 6 months and needing the carburetors cleaned and reset.

You didn't say what year and model the bike was but on any four stroke engine, you must have three things for the engine to run. You need fuel, spark, and compression. The easy one to check is the fuel. Take your air filter off and make sure you're getting fuel to the engine. Then, check your spark. Pull the spark plug wires off the spark plugs in the head and insert another set of plugs in the wires. Ground the plugs against the engine, turn the ignition switch on and press the start button. Watch the plugs to see if you have spark. The next test is compression. With the engine cold, remove the spark plugs. If you have a compression gauge, connect it to one of the heads and spin the engine over with the starter. If you don't have a gauge, simply put your finger over the spark plug hole. Turn the throttle wide open and press the start button. You should show about a hundred pounds of compression if you have a gauge or the compression should blow your finger off the hole with a good deal of force if you're checking it that way. If you have all three of these and they're timed correctly, the engine should run. If the engine won't run, find out which of the three elements is missing and work from there.

FI stands for Fuel Injection. The fuel system sensors have detected a problem. It could be anything > a dirty air filter restricting airflow, a plugged injector, an error in fuel mapping, any number of things. Serious problems can trigger the computer to prevent the engine from starting until the problem is fixed. You will need to take the bike to a dealer to have them plug in a code reader. The code reader will tell you exactly what problem has been detected. There is also a chance a sensor has gone bad and is giving a false signal. Keep that in mind. Now determine if you want to do the fix or have the dealer do it. Please rate my answer.

What os code 12

The FI light on our Yamaha is much like the check engine light on your car. If it comes on it is real easy to check the code, and for the bike to tell you what is up. Just ground the diagnostic wire and it will start reading them out. Mine just had one code, but it will read out as many as you have. Then you can know what to address to potentially fix issues with the bike. There are more than this, but below are some basic codes to work with. Service Codes FI Indicator Light (LED) Problems

Suzuki gsxr-1000 2011 exhaust valve actuator fi fault

You can definitely ride it without the servo, all 3 of my bikes have the FI lights on as I have aftermarket pipes with the servos disconnected. But I would make sure the servo is open, you'll lose a little low end power, but you won't sacrifice any top end.

I have a Suzuki GSX-R 750 and my F1 one light has started to come on when I excelerate some speed what does that mean.

Odds are its your SET valve needing adjustment, have the codes pull on the bike. If it is the SET, you can remove the SET system easily or you can have it adjusted.

If you get a code.

The codes are as follows:

C15 - ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR

FI light comes on and bike will not allow any faster speeds then 90mph - my husband is at the track and cannot open her up??

fuel injection is the fi light there is also a butterfly valve on the exhaust if it wont open will set that same light off its not recommended to ride with that light ....make sure all injectors are plugged in

Red light on odometer comes on.... And f1 light also

That is the Suzuki equivalent to a "Check engine light"

Turn your key on and verify the FI light is on and that your red kill switch is set to 'Run'

Remove your seat and behind the battery area you should find a white 6 pin connector (likely with a black rubber boot on it) Using a paperclip connect the white/red striped wire to the black/white striped wire.

Your display should Now read whatever codes are active.
If it reads C00- then there are no active codes. Note that when you turn the key off, the memory is erased so if you have an intermittent fault you should not turn the key off until you pull the codes.

Codes are as follows:

C11 - CAMSHAFT POSITION SENSOR
C12 - CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR
C13 - INTAKE AIR PRESSURE SENSOR
C14 - THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR
C15 - ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR

Yes have 2006 gsxr 600 it flashs F1 will not crank

there is a plug under your seat with 2 wires that you need to short out. The fI code is a dealer code like a check engine light on your car. You need the actual problem code. turn the bike on and keep it running short out the two wires in a white harness under your seat and then the f1 will change to a C## code.

Ive just bought a suzuki gsx750f 1989 model it was running fine the first day and now wont start and backfires when im trying to start it can anyone help me?

Backfiring is typical for 'lean' conditions and stuck inlet valves.
check also the spark plug condition, replace them if any doubt on their age exists.
Check compression to discover open valves.
Clean out the carburettors.
