Bike wont start

My bike sounds like it is going to start but dont crank over. there is a fuse box thing behind the seat but its not plugged into anything. could that be part of the problem? also the crank shaft is kinda loose....idk what to do. there is fuel in a clear tube that looks good. filled up with a small bubble in it.

SOURCE: oil blowing out of trans breather tube

hi 81 yamaha i am concerned about the fuel smell coming out with the oil. could be the carbs flooding filling your crankcase with fuel? if not it sounds like you have blow by which would cause your crank case to be slightly pressured. this is caused by worn piston rings. do not plug your crank vent. if you leave your vent open install small filter to stop dirt from entering jim

SOURCE: bike wont start

You have to check the starter motor, prolly the brushes are gone . Also check the connections from battery to the solenoid and from the solenoid to the starter.

Good Luck.

SOURCE: 79 yamaha XS 750 crank no start

well here goes your problem probably in the float bowl area water sediment blocked low speed jets if you do not want to do a complete tearmore down just clean the jets and float bowl.
Use a carb cleaner soak the jets make sure you can see through them the small low speed jets specially.
if you have access to air blow the jets clean.
spray any passage ways with carb cleaner reassemble good luck.

Hello, I need to find out where the fuse box is located on a 2001 suzuki AX100, the left idicators and I think it could be the fuses.

use motorscycle forum no cars.

http://www.fixya.com/motorcycles

my answer. on most bikes its under a side cover
older can be behind head light.
or under seat.
when you clean a bike 100% all that gets seen.
on most bikes, lift seat see, operators guide, and bingo on fuses.
all bikes made,
my bike is 1966 and has a tool box. in frame center, and guide is there.
on other bike, lift seat and there is underseat hidden spot , pocket.
and bam.
its in a place that water might not hit. (they all do)

Pulled the choke bike wont start

Usually if you flood it (by overchoking), you open the throttle wide open (to draw in more air to lean the mixture) while cranking starter.
Beings you had the spark plugs out you could have cranked it then, and let the engine compression blow the excess gas out the spark plug holes.

Power seat on 96 Cadillac deville wont work after replacing stereo. Any Ideas?

it is not a fuse, it is a circuit breaker in the fuse box, which i believe is under the hood on that car, i would check for bare or shorted wires behind the stereo before doing anything with the power seat.

Will not start

I'm telling ya, since harley went to all this computerized stuff on the bikes, they're getting just like our cars got. It's getting to where you can 't work on them yourself anymore.

The ignition circuit has it's own fuse now. Since Harley went to fuses instead of circuit breakers, the slightest thing and you're down for the count. With circuit breakers, you could short something and a few seconds later, you were ready to go again. These days, you've got to find the fuses and check all of them. I don't know where your fuse box is located on the bike. The header says you have a 2000 Road King. If that's right, I think the fuse box is under the seat or the right side frame panel. That's what I'd check first.

Of course, you know that you've got a compression sensor on your engine. If you take the plugs out of the heads and put them in the wires, you won't get a spark. Take the wires off the spark plugs but leave the plugs in the heads. Put another set of plugs in the wires to check for spark.

If you'll contact me directly. I'll scan a troubleshooting chart and send it to you. It may or may not help. Seems Harley changes stuff as often as the Japs do now. Contact me directly at my personal e-mail wd4ity at bellsouth.net Remind me of what you need, ignition system troubleshooting chart.

Good Luck

01 suzuki gsxr750 wont crank... was working before I changed plugs and filter put it back together and now nothing

can i assume that you mean the bike cranks over but wont start? Well you can rule out immediately changing the oil...(unless you used way too thick an oil brand, eg: a 20w50 or heavier and live in a cold climate), but i"ll assume you dont and you live near the beach where it nice and warm. Now you changed all four plugs, when you pulled up on the plug wires, i"ll assume that you didnt pull them up by the small diameter wire and pulled them up by the boots instead while twisting them out correct?, because this is the correct way to pull plug wires. The other way damages them, also you made sure that you heard a clicking noise letting you know that the plugs were firmly seated to the boot..o.k. And im almost positive that you went out and purchased the "same" exact plugs that where in there. Now take the #1 plug out and let it touch the frame of the bike, start the bike and look to see if you get a big blusish spark, not a reddish-purple. if its reddish purple you got either a bad coil or the pulse generators are going bad. Now i"ll assume that you didnt replace the plug wires and hopefully didnt get them out of firing order and replaced them one at a time to insure that they would be in the correct position? the bikes left side coil = #1 and #4 cylinders, and the right coil= #2 and#3, so now...this just leaves one more thing, did you check the gap on the new pulgs before installing because even though they say they're pregapped they could be wrong, just the other day i changed the plugs in my car and the where all off by .003. Anyway if you did everything properly did you possibly trip the kill switch, or dump the bike tripping the titlt sensor? because this will kill voltage to the fuel pump and it wont start. Check fuse to fuel pump, if good, then disconnnect battery for 5 minutes, and hook back up...now measure voltage on the battery since you have the seat off ...the battery should read at least 12.5v or > or it probably wont start. Next take the connector off the fuel pump and check it for 12 volts as well. The bike should start now.
Now if you mean the bike wont crank now thats a totally didnt story. and either your solenoid went bad... but you can find out real quick by taking a srew driver and following the two battery cables, it"ll lead you to a small black looking thing with to big terminals on it,..just turn key on and short together these to post with the screw driver, if the bike starts, then its a bad solenoid, or if it doesnt the starter is probably at faulf or the wiring going to the starter.
hopfully this will help you get it going good luck
Can i get a very helpful rating Thanks!
Now if all this fails theres one more thing to try (after you have insured yourself that everything was done properly), and that is to try and see if it will push start!...if it does, then its a fuel issue, this means that you have an fuel injection problem and maybe something is clogged up so go to Autozone and purchase a can of Sea Foam and pour 1/3 can into 2 gallons of fuel and ride the bike after the push start and ride it for 10-15 miles to see if this will clear it up. it worked for me after 11 miles.
Can i get a veryhelpful out of this one...thanks!

Bike wont start, fuel pump does not start when key is turned on

Yea I have a 06 c50 boulevard. Pull your seat off and below it will be the battery and a few fuses. I can't remember for sure 2 or 3 fuses, check to see if there blown. When I had that problem it was a blown fuse. Cheap fix if you know where the fuses are.
