2003 suzuki marauder 800 my bike was idling - i dropped it into first gear ( possibly with the kickstand down ) the engine died immediately and now there is no response from my ignition switch. I have replaced the starter relay ( no go ). I have tested the circuits and everything is hot/grounded but still no response from the start switch ----

Did you check the kill switch? Got gas? Try shifting to neutral and hit the starter button.

Take off connectors to the sidestand switch and temporarily join together then try starting. If it starts its a faulty switch. If not get back to me....

Did you try checking the diode for the kill switch? The safety switch that goes to the kickstand has a separate diode that controls that function. You might have blown that? Check the OEM Electrical and Wire Harness diagrams and try replacing that part.

Starts in neutral w/ kickstand up, dies when put in gear. NOT Kickstand Switch

it sounds like the clutch is dragging, either it is not adjusted properly or the clutch friction or metal plates are warped and acting like wave washers.you should have about 2mm of free play at the end of the clutch lever when its not being pulled in.also too thick an oil in the engine in it like 20/50 it should be using 10w 40 semi synthetic oil.does it try to pull forwards with the clutch in slightly when you put it in gear ?

I have a 2001 Suzuki 800 Marauder motorcycle. when it gets warmed up after a long ride. When I turn it off, restart it and put it in 1st gear it stops the motor. what,s causing this.

Many of the Suzuki's including Boulevard, Intruder and others have cut off switches in the kick stand. As long as the stand is down the engine will die when shifted into neutral.

Suzuki marauder 125cc t reg starts and runs fine but soon as select gear engine turns off

Your kickstand may have to be up otherwise the bike will shut off.... saftey switch may be bad if kickstand is up.

I have a 2003 suzuki marauder vz800. the bike will only crank and idle with the choke on fully. when i push the choke all the way in, the bike dies. what is the possible solution for this problem???

check your fuel strainers in your tank. you can also switch the fuel selector switch to reserve. if none of this works, then its probably your fuel pump

MC cranks, but wont start.

You have done good - This is a shot in the dark but if the bike thinks the bike is in gear with the kickstand doen (kickstand relay) the bike will not start - look for a voltage from the kickstand relay (at the kickstand)

I have an 03 Honda 750 Shadow. I start the bike in nuetral and then put it in gear and it dies. It dies instantly.

Your kickstand switch is either broken or out of position. The bike kills the engine as a safety feature if it thinks the sidestand is down and the bike is put in gear while the engine is running.
