SOURCE: new battery, tight connections, start the bike up

Hello James
Hearing your problem strikes right at me. My old Jeep Cherokee had the same problem. You have two possible problems, alternator and regulator. Luckily for you, both can be taken to any good sized auto parts store and tested for free:) The reason it dies is that the bike uses electricity to generate sparks at the spark plugs, if you don't have something to resupply the battery(ie:alternator) then it will slowly die(also causing the lights to dim more and more). The alternator could not be charging the battery, or the regulator could be not allowing the alternator to charge the battery.Taking the out could become quite difficult, my GoldWing makes it extremely hard, but the rest of the job should be easy.

Hope this helps
-Chris

SOURCE: my radio on my82 honda goldwing dont have sound

(Better1969) is correct. I just bought a 1983 Aspencade and there was no sound to my speakers. The gentleman I bought the bike from supplied new speakers but I quickly ruled that out. There are 3 fuse links behind the left turn signal in the fairing. 1 was a 1 amp, 1 was a 2 amp and the blown fuse was a 5 amp. I didn't have a 5 amp so I put a 2 amp in its place. So far the sound is still working but my FM radio reception is very poor.

SOURCE: Gl 1500 SE bike wont start of push button

If you jump the solenoid and it doesn't turn over, it is probably a bad starter. But don't forget to make sure the neutral light is on and the kickstand switch is good.

SOURCE: how much oil does 1987 honda gold wing hold and

3.9 US quarts of oil is the capacity. I have not had any trouble just pouring in the full 4 quarts. You should only use a JASO MA motorcycle oil 10w-40 or 20w-50 depending on outside temperature. Any oil that says Energy Conserving on the label should not be used they will shorten wet clutch and gear life. I highly recommend synthetic oil (Amsoil , Mobil 1 [motorcycle}, etc.)they will make the bike run cooler and shift more easily. Synthetic hypoid in the final drive will reduce friction and make it run cooler and last longer too.
