97 TL 1000 won't start after winter storage - 1997 Suzuki TL 1000 S

My 97 tl1000s has the same problem. It sat most of last year and i have never had problems with starting it before. On attempting to start it now, the front cylinder appears to be running and the rear pops and backfires. When the plugs are removed they are soaking wet, but there is pleanty good spark when the plugs are tested. I fitted new plugs and it eventually started but once it cooled down again it will not start. I changed the oil and it was smelling strongly of petrol. I have now removed the injectors and fuel rail and they appear clean enough. My initial thoughts where the fuel may have gone off. Is it possible the fuel preasure regulator is stuck open and flooding the cylinders or is this an electrical fault. HELP.

I own a 97 Suzuki Tl 1000s. It previously ran and started well. It sat most of last year unused. It now fails to start, when the plugs are removed they are soaking wet. I tried new plugs and managed to start it but once it had cooled down it will not start again. I have removed the fuel rail and the injectors and they appear to be clean. I changed the oil and it was smelling strongly of petrol. A couple of times it did start it was running on the front cylinder only and backfiring on the rear cylinder. My initial thoughts were the fuel had gone off, but I'm not sure. HELP.

Install new sparkplugs. Activate choke. Do not touch throttle. Push starter button. Do not touch throttle. If bike stalls repeat until it stays running, then you may give it a little throttle. If I give my TL any throttle on start up it floods. It usually takes 2 or 3 tries where the bike starts then stalls before it stays running. DO NOT TOUCH THROTTLE UNTIL IT IDLES. THEN GENTLEY.

When starting my TL 1000 the battery dies out and won't turn on

Have you had the battery load tested? If it won't hold a charge this can happen. First check the battery conections, if they are dirty (not shiny) then chances are there is your problem.

Suzuki tl 1000r f1 light showing

F1 is no fault. put into dealer mode the little white connector under the rear seat, a bit of wire bridge the terminals and a fault code will come up, if you put a retarder on the bike try putting back to std

I have a 2001 tl 1000. I won't go pass 60 I

try to baffle the air coming in through the induction paths, when i was younger i had a cbr600f4 and for some strange reason the forced air from speeds over 60 threw off the air to fuel ratio so much that the bike would stall until i slowed down, i used a couple of strips of duct tape to block about 60 percent of the air passage on the sides near the airbox and it fixed it

My 1994 Yamaha Virago won't start after a several month deployment/winter storage. I trickle charged the battery. All electricals seem to be working fine, but the starter solenoid just clicks rapidly with...

Check condition of wire and the ends, to the starter and solenoid .read dc volts at bettery to make sure there is 12 or 13 volts any less needs new bettery,or a stronger charge perhaps.

97 tl1000 s replacement ecu part no32920-02f60 i have a 99 will this work on my bike

unsure if it will plug st8 in but it can definitely be made to work. It's actually a very desirable mod because the 97 ecus had more aggressive advance curves.

Winter storage

If your brake fluid is in need of changing, do so before long-term storage. Similarly, hydraulic clutch fluid should be changed before you store your bike; both systems may suffer failure if moisture gets in. Also make sure your coolant is fresh, as deposits can form from old fluid. For service intervals, consult your owner's manual.
