SOURCE: 1991 honda civic starter removal
Always start by disconnecting the battery when working with electrical parts on a vehicle. Once that is done then unplug the starter and unbolt the nut under the rubber boot which should be either 8mm or 10mm bolt, i can't remember which. Then next there will be two long 12mm or 14mm bolts holding the starter to the trans...remove them and the starter should lift right out. For installation just do the same but reverse and don't forget the metal gasket and i recommend putting di-electric grease on the electrical connections to keep those in good working order. Good luck

SOURCE: 1991 Honda Civic. Starter works, engine will not fire.
If you're not getting any spark, it may be the coil or the igniter, both of which are located inside the distributor.
If no fuel, you may have a problem with your main relay.
Check out tegger.com for more information on these components as well as other possibilities.

SOURCE: where i can find the starter for honda civic dx 2008?
The starter should be located on the left side of the engine. That is the side nearest the front of the car. Typically the transaxle spans a portion of the right side of the engine. You may also find related info on tha Autozone website. Enter your vehicle info then go to "view job diagram" on the right side of the page.
