Best way to do this is to take spark plugs out individually and check for smell and sight of fuel. if it is getting fuel but not sparking then you will have a wet sparkplug. if it is dry look at the colour of the hook at the bottom of the plugs. brown plugs means running too rich, grey plugs means average burning and working well. black plugs is very bad and must be serviced. if all this not working the other test you can try but dont spill any petrol before you do this. if while you have plug out(only one at a tim or yuoll loose where wot leasd went to where) plugging it into the cable and holding with a very insulated pair of pliers, then try to turn bike over(start) whilst looking at the hook bit on the plug. if you see a bright spark from the plug then you will prob find they firing in the worng order. this could be a problem and should be dealt with by a dealer.

Suzuki gsxr 750 slingshot cranks but wont start.

For a motorcycle engine to run you need compression, ignition (spark) and fuel. Quite often with a bike like a Suzuki if the plugs get even a little wet but otherwise look like great plugs, the motorcycle will not start. So, new plugs are a good place to start, however if you put in new plugs and try to start a few times and have fuel but no spark the new plugs may become unable to start also.

FIRST check to see it you have spark at the spark plugs, then remove the plugs and either do a compression test with a gauge OR put a finger over the plug hole and turn it over and if you have adequate compression the engine will blow your finger off of the hole when it comes up on the compression stroke.

If you have a carburetted bike you can check for fuel by taking off the air filter and operating the throttle a few times full open in which case the accelerator pump should eject a spray of fuel into the carburetor throat. With Carb or Fuel Injection you could also spray some fuel into the carb throat or the induction module throat while turning the engine over with spark at the plugs. If you have spark and compression but no fuel th eengine will fire when you spray the fuel into it.

Google Slingshot carbs & Suzuki GSXR 750 Slingshot carbs, there's a wealth of info on how to identify & also do a complete strip down

Engine shuts down after 2 min - Gsxr 750 1997

Bad ignition coil. You can try to find the OHM specs and test it but that is what happens when you have a failing coil.

My suzuki gsxr 750 sat all winter and i didnt winterize it at all. the battery died... i charged it and my bike just wont start. It cranks over just won.t start. What should i do?

check spark plugs, check for spark. check fuel is good. possible needle and seat gummed up in carb float bowl. disasemble and clean with brake or carb cleaner.do not change float level. re assemble ,you can use the cleaner to help to fire the motor with a shot through the carb. make sure you cleaner says flammable. good luck.

How to start the gsxr 750 after running out off

It should start fine - unless you have drawn gunk from the bottom of the tank into the fuel line, in which case you will need to strip and clean the carbs.

GSXR 750 Slingshot wont rev past 5000rpm, with or without choke

I have seen this before a few things to do too make sure. First take the air filter out and shine a light use your fingers to move the slides up and down I suspect the springs that go on the slide is not seated in center you can tell from the slide going halfway and hanging up. Next, the boots on the slides only go on 1 way there is a notch on the carbs for them. I would guess this would fix you up if not we can get deeper into it with air-fuel mix screw settings.good luck
