MIne is the same, after the bike being knocked over whilst parked, it went away for 7 weeks to get fixed, got it back looks like new but straight away couldn't start it. Tried a charger no good, so brought brand new battery, first battery I brought was a dud, replacement worked, used the bike for 6 days and now won't start again, managed to start it twice only in the early evening (on slightly warm days) but soon as it turns off it won't start again.
Could be spark plug, or coil or starter motor.

Hi there, try this sometimes the stand switch can make the bike not work if has got rusted at the back.and check or replace the coil., then check if you are getting a spark from the plug by putting the spark plug on top of the head. The next thing is if the bike turns over but not fire up, you need to strip down carb and clean jets, also check petrol value under the tank If you have a book it will go through this step by step. good luck.

Have week spark on my 1992 zx11

first off are your plugs gapped correctly? Also how long has it been since the valve lash has been set? Is this a battery powered ignition system or a CDI style? If it's battery then a good battery source is needed, also check every ground and every single switch between the hot side of battery to ignition coil, include your start button and also the engine kill switch(which should be open)

Storing your bike over winter!!!

when your motorcyle has been stood for a while like over winter..keep the battery charged up. if its got carbs..run them out of petrol befor storeing. has petrol goes off in the carbs & gums them up. whitch then when you come to use the bike you need to strip the carbs & clean the float bowls & clean the jets out..has with a lot of problems i have seen on here when bikes have been stood they wont rev or even start because the petrol carnt get threw...if the bikes been stood a long time you need fresh petrol anyway as it goes off!!...

2008 gsx650f battery was weak so i coast started it a couple of days. the other day after riding for a while i stopped and got gas it wouldnt start with the battery so itried to coast again and that...

There must be a regulator or stator issue but I dont know the details of this bike, the generator to charge the battery, a fuse, or wire is at fault is my educated guess, if you put a good battery in it, it should run until battery gets too weak to run the coil and generate a spark. This indicates a faulty charging system, not sure where it's located on your particular machine but thats' obviously the issue from your indications.

Bell radian bke light change batteries

The 'top' button that turns the light on.

You must press and hold the bottom button to release the light/battery container. It is still very difficult to force out of the casing. I used a screw drive (flat blade) to force the little tabs on the outside of the LIGHT edges to separate the two.

1998 Jaguar xj8 sport 48000 miles on clock, stood for a while in winter and battery went flat and remote wouldnt work, charged battery up, remote still wouldnt work so changed batteries as recommended in...

the remote may have come un-synchronised. (Due to a heavy knock or interference from a radio transmitter source. Like someones speed radar detector, or when the battery went flat.)

Consult your dealer on the synchronising process. This is an involved process but easy enough to do yourself at home!

Bike cranks and wont start

Hi .... Sounds like regulator/rectifier is defective. Fully charge battery and try starting again, place multi-meter across battery and it should show 12.8-14 volts. If it doesn't replace reg/rec unit.
