Slow accelleration

CAR BOGS DOWN COULD BE FAULTY TPS SENSOR, CLOGGED FUEL INJECTORS AND CLOGGED FUEL FILTER, STOPPED UP AIR FILTER, FAULTY MASS AIR FLOW SENSOR.BEST BET IS TO HAVE CAR CODE SCAN MANY THINGS WILL CAUSE ENGINE BOG DOWN.HAVE VECHICLE CODE SCAN AND SEE IF YOU HAVE ANY FAULT CODES.MAKE CHECK TRANSMISSION FLUID LEVEL.ENGINE NEED TRANSMISSION TO FOR TORQUE AND POWER TO PUT CAR IN MOTION IF TRANSMISSION NOT WORKING OKAY IT WILL PULL DOWN ENGINE POWER.

Will run but bogs down until you back off of accerator

Have the TPS sensors voltage checked out. It controls the accellerator as you step on the gas pedal

My 1998 Dodge Ram seems to lose power especailly going up hill and then chugs.

You may check the exhaust system, I had this happen with a same year Dakota and it would bog down the more I tried to accellerate. My cat had fallen apart inside and clogged up the pipe.

Car bogs down when given gas.

Hi there,
This problem is most commonly caused by a weak fuel pump. It will need to be checked with a fuel pressure guage. If you can obtain a fuel pressure guage you will need to observe the fuel pressure while accellerating to see if it drops out.
good luck
