On my 89 accord it would only start in cool or cold weather never hot.
I had to replace the main relay that's tucked way up under the dash. I got my mechanic to do it. No problems since.

Below the procedure to reset ECU,Throttle and to perform Accelerator Position Learning on Nissan. It works on Titan, Altima, Infinity, pathfinder and other models.
ECU Resetting
While performing the procedures below, ensue that you are respecting the times stated. If the steps are not done within the specified times, the module will not reset. You will need to use a watch or a chronograph while performing the procedures.
Procedure:
1. Ensure that the accelerator pedal is fully released, set ignition switch to the “ON” position, then wait 3 seconds. 2. Follow the steps a and b below, repeat the two steps in sequence quickly for five times within 5 seconds. a. Push hard the accelerator pedal untill fully depressed. b. Release the accelerator pedal in full. 3. Wait 7 seconds, then depress the accelerator pedal completely, and hold it for about 10 seconds until the CEL (check engine light) starts blinking. 4. Release the accelerator pedal while the CEL is still blinking. 5. Wait 10 second. 6. Depressthe accelerator pedal in full and hold it for 10 seconds or more. 7. Fully release the accelerator pedal while the CEL light keeps flashing. 8. Turn the ignition switch to “OFF” position and start the vehicle. If procedure has been done correctly, then the light light will turn off. If the light continues to stay on, repeat the procedure.
Accelerator Pedal Release Position Learning
Procedure
1. Ensure that the accelerator pedal is completely released before starting the procedure. 2. Turn the ignition switch “ON” and wait at least 2 seconds. 3. Turn the ignition switch “OFF”, and wait at least 10 seconds. 4. Turn the ignition switch “ON” and wait 2 seconds. 5. Turn the ignition switch “OFF” and wait 10 seconds.
Throttle Valve Closed Position Learning
Procedure
1. Ensure that accelerator pedal is completely released. 2. Turn ignition switch to the “ON” position. 3. Turn ignition switch to the “OFF” position and wait at least 10 seconds. Ensure that the throttle valve moves after turning the switch off.
Idle Air Volume Learning (Throttle Position Learning)
Procedure
1. Follow the Accelerator Pedal Released Position Learning described above. 2. Do the Throttle Valve Closed Position Learning also described above. 3. Start the engine, and allow warming up. 4. Turn the ignition on “OFF” positionand wait 10 seconds. 5. Ensure that accelerator pedal is fully released, then turn the ignition switch to “ON” position, and wait 3 seconds. 6. Repeat the steps a and b below five times within 5 seconds in sequence. a. Push hard the accelerator pedal untill fully depressed. b. Release the accelerator pedal until reaching full extension. 8. Wait 7 seconds or more, depress the accelerator pedal completely and hold the pedal down for about 20 seconds until you see that the Check Engine Light stops blinking and starts getting steady.. 9. Rrelease completely the accelerator pedal within 3 seconds after the light coming ON. 10. Start engine and let it run at idle for about 20 seconds. 12. Test the engine to ensure the idle speed and ignition timing are set correctly.
You need to clean the throttle body, and possibly replace the Idle Air Control (IAC) motor. Use a baby bottle brush with nylon bristles and some carbureator cleaner to clean the throttle body and the back of the throttle blade. Take intake hose loose from engine have someone in car hold gas pedal to floor( engine not running) spray carb cleaner into throttle body and brush with bottle brush. When clean re attach the hose (engine will not start with hose un hooked) and start the engine. The engine might be hard to start the first time because of the extra fuel in the intake, but it wil start. You will need to run it a few minutes to clear the extra fuel, then try the ac and see if the idle is better.
1. Start the engine and allow it to reach normal operating temperature. 2. Run the engine at 2000 rpm for 2 minutes and return to idle. 3. Turn the engine OFF and disconnect the throttle position sensor harness connector. 4. Start the engine and race the engine to 2000 rpm, 3 times. 5. Connect a timing light to the No. 1 spark plug wire and battery. 6. Loosen the distributor hold-down bolt and adjust the ignition timing to 10 degrees BTDC for the GA16DE and 15 degrees for the SR20DE engines. 7. Turn the engine OFF and reconnect the throttle position sensor harness.
Locate the crankshaft pulley at the front of the engine and remove any grease or dirt to expose the timing marks. Turn off any accessories such as the radio, climate controls and lights.
Step 2
Start the engine and allow it to reach normal operating temperature. The cooling fan will cycle on and off signifying it has reached the correct temperature. Shut the engine off.
Step 3
Connect the timing light to the battery if necessary and to the number one ignition wire located at the far end of engine on the driver's side. Restart the car and allow it to idle for 2 minutes.
Step 4
Point the timing light at the crankshaft pulley and determine the amount of adjustment needed. Loosen the hold down bolts on the distributor and rotate it slowly until the timing mark matches the middle line on the timing light.
Step 5
Tighten the distributor hold down bolts and recheck the timing to ensure it didn't move. Turn the engine off and remove the timing light. Reconnect the number one ignition wire.

Most likely a dirty idle speed control system follow the guidelines below to clean it.
Throttle Body Cleaning on vehicles without electronic throttle control (most 2003 and down)
You can in most cases repair this slow speed stall or unstable idle by cleaning the engine throttle valve and the idle speed control valve using a product called CRC Spray Throttle valve cleaner. Spray the cleaner into the air intake of the engine with the hose removed from the throttle body, the engine will try to stall so hold up the idle speed manually. Once you have used up about 1/2 can of the cleaner stall the engine out while spraying and turn the key off, disconnect the negative battery cable for 5 minutes and then reconnect and drive the car for a about 25 miles of varied driving modes. If this doesn't cure the problem you may need the fuel injectors professionally cleaned by the dealer service dept.
Sounds like the idle speed motor is not working or very dirty throttle body.
You would have to remove the black plastic hose on top of the throttle
body and get a cleaner(throttle body cleaner or carb. cleaner) and
spray it down into the opening.
If you have a hard time starting because of the liquid in the throttle body, try holding down the gas pedal while starting.
Have you cleaned the throttle body? I assume this accures at idle correct? With the car running remove the air inlet pipe and spray cleaner (Kragen auto) into the intake, hold the throttle on to keep engine from dyeing, do this several times, then turn off engine and disconnect battery for 5 minutes at least and restart and throttle engine to clear out gunk, if the stall is due to sludge in the intake idle speed control port this should cure your problem, unless the idle speed control stepper motor is not functional.
when was your last tune up?? And also Air filter??
