Where is the main fuse on a 2001 800 intruder

My whole electrical system has failed. I have replaced the battery and all fuses in the fuse panal. I understand that there is a main fuse on the bike. I have looked and think I may have found it. It has writen on it "TL110, 12.8v 85c/m 21WX2+3.4W, 0.7". Is that the main fuse?

SOURCE: fuse blowing = total electrical failure

The resetable breaker could be of little amps which cannot take the load of the electricals of your bike, thus its overheating and trips off.
Surprising though it also drains the battery.
There could be some kind of a short in the wiring somewhere.
Why did they replace the main fuse in the first place? Was there any kind of problem to the electricals thn?

Yeah, you have a short somewhere in the electrical system, or your alternator is overcharging.

SOURCE: Where are the fuses found for the 1500 Intruder?

Ok, there are two places on this bike where you will find fuses. There is a main fuse (30amp) on the starter relay located behind the left upper cover (false fuel tank), and then the main fuse panel is located behind the right rearward engine cover. This cover has only two screws holding it on and they should be hex fittings.
DO NOT try to remove the forward cover (the one with the oil sight glass in it). That is the clutch cover/right side engine cover and is sealed. This cover is held on by regular bolt head bolts.
While your in the fuse box you may want to take note that the oil fill plug is under that first cover as well.

Read this forum about loosing the electrical problem with your vs1400. With a voltage tester , trace the power from the battery following the main power cable to find the problem.

hi,two possible problems,1 a flat battery and 2 the main fuse has failed, the main fuse is normally located very close to the battery and not that hard to find,it always makes me nervous with main fuses failing though as it is normally an indication that something else is wrong because why did it fail in the first place, hope this helps...cheers ian

Battery does not hold charge

You have a short at one of your systems. It#s sometimes difficult to find such a "electrical gremlin"... I've searched one week and dismounted the whole interior... try to check some systems for a short as follows: connect a Ampere meter for this checks. First try to remove fuses out of the power distribution center right in engine compartment. Do this step by step, one fuse, if fine, fuse back, next fuse and so on.. if you find the main system with the short, do the same with the fuses in dashboard, passenger side how connected with this main circuit. If you've located the circuit with the short, check the whole wiring system related to this circuit till you get him. ..or.... let a specialist check your car. Good Luck!

Help on a motorcycle Question

Did you check the fuse at the starter relay?
This is main system fuse and not in the fuse panel with the other sub-system fuses.

The electrical system fails while driving

I would say you have toasted your main fuse board and the only true fix is to replace it GOOD LUCK
