I have a 2003 dyna super glide. When I turn the ignition nothing happens. Battery is new, bike just died.
SOURCE: change a stator
First secure the bike on a lift. disconnect battery.remove standard footpeg.Remove standard shifter. Remove all allen head bolts from outer primary cover. Some bolts are longer so keep track of where they go.Two bolts on the primary inspection cover also hold the outer to the inner primary case, so remove the cover. Now remove the outer primary case. The clutch, primary chain, adjuster, and compensating sprocket must be reoved as a single unit.Once you have done this take a rag and grasp the rotor and slide it off of the main engine shaft.Unplug the stator and remove the set screws holding it in place.Reverse procedure to install new stator.

SOURCE: how to change battery on 2001 dyna super glide
heres how its done
remove the seat , then battery neg. cable at frame, positive at terminal, then
feel around the outside of the box - there is a rear lower bolt and an
upper bolt - - this will cause the battery tray to swing down when they are
removed. Orient the new battery same as the old one... reverse the process..... thats it

Check your spark plugs, they are quite fragile & yoy may have a crack in the ceramics. Replacement is recommended.
SOURCE: 2009 Dyna Super Glide Custom starting problems:
Does the start quit turning or does it continue to sound like it's turning? If the starter quits turning, I'd suspect the battery. Take it out and have it tested. Usually no charge for this service at most any auto parts house.
If the starter sounds like it's still turning but the engine isn't, that's an indication that the "starter clutch" is bad inside the starter. This is the "one way bearing" unit that turns the engine to start it but then freewheels when the engine starts. I've seen many of them go bad. If the bike is still under warranty, take it back to the dealer before the warranty runs out. At least have a documented complaint of the problem within the warranty period. That way, if the warranty runs out you may can still get it fixed under the warranty.
