It seems likely that your fuel pump is not operating, you should hear the fuel pump priming when you turn on the ignition, if not the fuel pump is at fault, this is not uncommon and a replacement is the answer.

Probabilly a stuk carburettor float or needle.
Try to solve this problem to gently tap on the carburettor bodies. If this doesn't help you have to clean out the carburettors, and/or replace the float neeldes

A low Universal Pump can be used! It must not exceed 3.0 PSI! I have used the ones from NAPA that are a 2.5 PSI Low Universal Fuel Pump! It will fill the float bowls up and then stop pumping. Your float needles have to be Good and working properly and float level set right at factory Specs. Any pump over 3.0 PSI will NOT Work as they will overfille the carbs and flood engine. Good float needles and seats can hold up to 3.25 PSI Fuel Pressure but anything over that will push them open and overfill the float bowl chambers which will flood the engine cylinders with Way To much Fuel! Hope that helps! Rick

I checked Babbitt's and it looks like they have it in stock. Go to the site below where you can see a parts diagram for your specific bike. You will select the actual brand, year, model, etc., once you go to the site. Part numbers and prices are also shown. You can order parts from this site. In the event no price is shown on a particular part and/or the notation "Not Available" is in the description, the part is not in stock. www.babbittsonline.com/pages/parts/viewbybrandand/parts.aspx
Look at "ELECTRICAL 2", item number 14.
