I have a 1982 Kawasaki GPZ750 R1 and about every 1000 miles the right side ignition coil goes bad. I have replaced it once and the previous owner replaced it several times. The coil will only last for...

this shouldnt be an ongoing problem, coils occasionally fail, but not usually again and again.
Check all connections.
check battery voltage when running 13-14 v
When you replace the coil, replace the plug caps as well( they have a resister in them)
Make sure the spark plug gaps are correct

I need to know the gap for the camshaft and valves on 1982 kz1000

The factory spec is between .002" and .006" for both the intake and exhaust cams. However, the best performance is right at .006" Don't go looser than that or you may hear a ticking noise.

Where can i find the coil

Are you wanting to buy a new one? or are you looking for its location on the bike?
Most medium to large cities have kawasaki dealers you can buy a new coil through.
If you are looking for the coil location on the bike, just follow the spark plug cable back from the spark plug, it will go to the coil.
