Where is the mainline fuse on a suzuki tl 1000

By " will not start  " I presume you mean that the starter motor will not spin. If yes:

• try with the clutch lever pulled in and/or the side stand folded up. If it works, then the safety interlocks have to be checked;
  
• if there is a clicking sound, follow the battery cable from the battery's + terminal;
  
• it would end in 1 of the terminals of the starter relay;
  
• while pushing on the start button, short the 2 big terminals of the starter relay on the nuts (not on the threaded portion);
  
• expect a big spark;
  
• if the starter motor spins when shorting the 2 terminals, the starter relay is faulty;
  
• if  no spin, then the starter motor is faulty, most likely the carbon brushes.

Spray the bolts with WD40 several times over a two hour period. Use an impact driver and metric socket to loosen the bolts. The shock from the driver is your best chance to loosen the bolts. In the event a bolt or two does break, you should cut the bolt flush with the head, use a carefully placed center punch to center the bit, then drill the center of the bolt with a 1/16" bit. Then drill with a 1/8" bit and try a screw extractor to remove the remains. If still unable to remove the screws, you might want to contact a machine shop.

OK, the first thing to do is check your fuse box for blown ignition fuse all motors in order to run must have fuel, air, fire, oil to operate. Since this bike was setting up for four months I recommend changing the oil and filters, empty and flush the gas tank remove any rust if present, your carburators will need servicing, empty and clean the bowls replace gaskets clean your jets, charge your battery replace it needed. Check your charging system (ie stator.) for proper voltage output replace if needed. check Automatic timing unit at the chank shaft on lower right side of the bike. this is needed for impulse signal to be sent to the coils to firng in seqence. If no fire at the spark plug the problem is either your ATU or your coils need replacing. Happy riding !!!

Check the ignition coil unit to start with. Is the spark blue or orange? Take sparkplug out,..put on plug cap...touch bottom edge of plug onto metal..[cyl. head], turn bike over...and check for spark color. If spark is "orange",..the coil is shot...replace it.
