Kawasaki electrical fault,immobiliser not working

I repaired a zx14 that was smashed.All the electrics ,lights etc work,but when I switch on the ignition,the choke actuater,fuel pump does not work,when I try to start the engine there is no spark to the spark plug leads.There is no F1 fault showing but the immobiliser light does not blink as it should when the bike is switched off.When I plugged in another bikes cdi unit ,it gave me a n immobiliser fault as well as showing a picture of the key on the cluster.Is ther possibly something that needs to be reset and how? Please help as I have tried everything .Regards Francois

I have a 2003 ZZ1200 which has developed an electrical fault. The headlamps sometimes switch on by themselves when the bike is parked up with the ignition off. This causes the battery to flatten. As there are no light switches on this bike there is no way to turn them off unless I disconnect the battery. I suspect a faulty relay but do not know which one or where it is. Does anyone have any ideas. Thanks, Geoff

Wow...where to begin, I am not a professional mechanic...but I've been buying and rebuilding bikes for over a year now and I've encountered some of these issues.
Q: do you have the original key and ignition still in tact?

the fuel pump and choke you should hear activate when you turn on the ignition and/or press the start button...the fuel pump should be located in the gas tank, there should aslo be a single connector w/2 wires that attaches to the fuel pump...I'd suggest checking that FIRST, in a Kawasaki I dont believe that the F1 light blinks when the ignition is switched to off so do not let that be decieving to you...Another easy fix and hugely overlooked and misunderstood issue is the battery...by this It means that a bike will not have enough "stable power" to "fire" or "spark" a coil, so other than a new battery or a strong jump start you will be unable to determine whether or not there is an actual CDI or ignition issue to contend with...after checking and verifying those issues, please feel free to find me and I'd be happy to share the many small things I've had to contend with

The electric window could either be the fuse,switch, or window regulator motor at fault..Sometimes the window motor electric plug can vibrate loose or become loose from door slamming..Also the switch can become loose as well or contamination if you are lucky..You will have to remove door panel to inspect these components..and fuse panel..The light could be a faulty bulb..Check and replace bulb..before involving the signal indicator switch lever...If bulb is at fault go ahead and change bulbs at both rear sides..Do not try to repair signal switch because of air bag..If you can hold down on the turn signal switch and it works the switch is at fault...

You might try to check the horn first by shortcircuiting it ( two leads from the battery.) If the horn itself works , find your way up: check with your contact switched on, the wires that lead to the horn by using a small light bulb or an Voltmeter: if you push the horn button, the licht should go on or the voltmeter should read 12 v.. If not , check the horn switch itself, there could be some corrosion. Good luck , allways a puzzle , the electricity..
