1. remove the hose from the carb and see if the petcock is shutting off the gas and if not clean, repair or replace the petcock.
2. look in the tank and see if it has rust in the tank even a small haze of rust as rust will cause the needle and seat to stick in the carb and make the gas leak. If the gas tank has a lot of rust it may need a tank rubber liner kit added or even a new tank to stop the leaking.
3. if the bike has been sitting for a while it may have trash in the fuel system(carb/petcock/tank). Rust or any trash can cause a leak. Properly clean out the carb and fuel system and add a new filter when done.
4. Improperly adjusted or bad needle/seat or float in the carb will cause continual leaking. Replace the needle/seat/float and adjust the new one when installed. Check your service manual for float adjustments.

How can i find a gas leak on my gas tank?

Usually when a gas leak occurs. There will be a strong lingering gas odor or fuel may leak. If you can not locate the leak you may want to hire a repair shop to perform a "Smoke Test". This test is typically used to find leaks in the EVAP system but has other great uses as well. This test can help locate engine vacuum leaks and fuel tank leaks as well. You might also consider lowering the tank down for further diagnostic information. Any other questions feel free to write back. Good Luck.

Ford freestyle smell like gas inside

Could be a small gas leak in one of the gas lines or even a leak on top of the gas tank and yes could even be a leak where the fuel pump goes in the top of the tank. Quite often the leak is on the tank top out of sight and it smells of gas even if you have a slight leak.

Came down stairs water heater off and pan filled with water

Copy following link for troubleshooting leaking water heater.
http://waterheatertimer.org/Leaking-water-heater.html

You posted question under propane gas heater.
Propane is heavier and air, and this type gas water heater should not be installed in basement (below grade) since gas leak can fill basement with explosive gas.
Water leak does not cause gas leak, so water leak is separate problem.
Recommended for propane safety: install gas detector close to floor near gas water heater
Regular Natural Gas heater, install gas detector higher on wall since NG is lighter than air and will rise.

I have a Pinguino PAC 190 floor model that blinks PF what does that mean?

PF- error code means shor of gas/gas leak. It's not advisable to charge gas without finding out the leak.
To find out leak, remove all gas and then charge Nitrogen pressure up-to 300 PSI and then with soap solution or leak detector element you can find the leak. Arrest the leak by brazing/welding, Again pressurize with nitrogen to confirm no more leak. And then vacumize and do gas charging.

Gas smell when oven is on and heating.

This sounds like a gas leak at the gas control valve for the oven, probably somewhere just past the control valve. If the leak was before the valve, you would either hear or smell gas leaking all the time.
The line could simply be loose at the fitting or the gas valve could be faulty. You could also have a leak somewhere at or before the oven burner assembly.

At any rate, this condition can be dangerous. The oven gas leak (any gas leak) should be diagnosed by a competent technician and the cause(s) of the gas leak determined as soon as possible and corrected.

Is my Kenmore 80 Series Gas dryer supposed to be leaking gas? If it is, where does it normally leak from?

ABSOLUTELY NOT!! This is a potentially deadly situation. Immediately call the gas company and tell them about the leak. they will send out their technician with a device to pinpoint the leak or leaks. If you are reading this response after regular hours and can't get ahold of the gas company turn off the gas at the meter. and do not light any flames in the house.
