Bought used in madison for college. Had one key dropped down rain gutter on street. Have not started in months. Kymco inc. would not help. The key started the scooter, opened the seat and gas cap. I need help. I payed a decent amount of money for the scooter and used it for a couple of months. My manual and title are in the seat. I am very frustrated.

fellow kymco owner here, id start off by looking for a locksmith to make up a key for you. they typically just break into the key lock, pull out the cylinder, and use the pins to aid in cutting a key. as soon as that is done, they will have a key done for you without destroying your locks. then as soon as your done, ask them to make 2 extra copies of your key and keep them spare somewhere. i keep one in my wallet, but the key head cut down smaller, and the other at home.

It was the fuel. We drained to fuel and replaced with some fresh and let it run for a while.

my 2005 grandvista opens the fuel by turning the key all the way to the right.the seat all the way to the left.i think you have to push down on the key.it's either to lock the bars or open the seat...i forget which.

Take your spark plug out of the cylinder, reconnect it to the ht lead and place it on to your frame if you see a spark then your coil is fine, try a new spark plug, if there is no spark get a new coil and plug.
Remember there is a 2t and a 4t version of the kymco vitality and the spark plugs are different.

could be one of a few things. Most likely fuel related. 1) carb blocked main jet (whip it out n clean it) 2) air filter clogged up or split (remove spark plug and if it is black there is too much fuel and either the airfilter is blocked up or the choke is stuck on, if it is very white there is too much air getting infrom either a split air filter or leaking inlet pipe) 3) change spark plug.
