When you turn the key, the dash lights work but the clock doesnt turn on and the car wont start (in fact the clock is off entirely, its never on anymore even though it should be). When you hold the lock button in, the clock lights up and the car will start right up. It has a new battery, starter, and alternator. I dont understand what is interrupting the circuit so that the clock wont light up and the car wont start. Please help

Auto or manual? If its auto try puting it in neutral and try starting. If manual than try pushing the clutch all the way to the floor. There is a switch on thr pedal that when pressed it enganges the starter.

No. I dont think its the theft system. Has anyone had problem with one of the relays before that could be causing this problem?
