Turn signals and flashers not working
SOURCE: Turn signals not working
hello
as long as there was no recent modifications to a different style of turn signal, then yes the flasher relay has failed. the fact that they do illuminate to the turn signal being switched says that the system is recieveing the voltage it needs. so that would leave the flasher to blame.
the only other possibility would be a very low voltage.
SOURCE: Where is the flasher unit located?
flasher relay mostly place under your seat cover near battery and some under the head ligth. all motor bike is build only one flasher relay, maybe your problem is wiring, right switch rusted. busted light

He's right! The key fob for the security system needs a clear signal to the module to disarm the bike. That's why the flashers turn on. If the fob is at the bike, the security module has lost it's memory, or the antenna for the key fob reception is not connected. You also need to squeeze the clutch lever to allow the engine to engage also...new safety feature i think for 07. Hope this helps.

The turn signal module gets it's power from the accessory fuse. If the fuse is good, check for 12 volts at the #2 position on the turn signal module (located on the top fork bracket). On the turn signal module the #1 wiring pin position is ground and the #2 wiring pin position is 12 volts dc. If there is no voltage using those two pins, check for resistance between pin #1 and engine ground. If resistance is greater than 1 ohm you have a broken or poor ground wire. If resistance is less than 1 ohm check for 12 vdc on both sides of the accessory fuse. If you have 12 vdc to only one side, replace the fuse. If you have 12 vdc to both sides of the fuse you have a broken wire between the accessory fuse and the turn signal module. If you do not have 12 vdc to the accessory fuse you have a broken wire from the ignition switch and the fuse block.
