To access the sponge filter on a Ryobi RM2010 electric lawn mower, follow these steps:
Make sure the lawn mower is turned off and unplugged.
Locate the cowl on the side of the lawn mower. This is the cover that protects the engine.
Look for the height adjustment lever on the same side as the cowl. The sponge filter is typically located under the cowl, near the height adjustment lever.
Lift the cowl to access the sponge filter. The cowl may be secured with clips or latches, or it may be held in place by screws.
Once the cowl is open, you should be able to see the sponge filter. It may be held in place with a clip or other fastening device.
Carefully remove the sponge filter from its housing and set it aside.
Use a soft brush or a cloth to gently clean any dirt or debris from the filter. Avoid using any harsh chemicals or detergents, as these can damage the filter.
Once the filter is clean, replace it in its housing and secure it in place.
Close the cowl and make sure it is securely fastened.
You talking engine air filter or cabin filter? Engine air filter is located in air box in engine compartment.. unclamp , open box , remove old filter, wipe out box, replace new filter , reclamp box.
Cabin filter located under cowl just below windshield. remove cowl bolts / plastic rivets. pull off cowl .. filter is in center and slides out like a drawer.. slide in new filter and replace cowl.
take cowl panel behind hood off ,im sorry take wiper arms off first then cowl panel . they're are linkages and grommets under cowl either a gromment is stripped out or wiper tower broken
Is it water or engine coolant leaking? Check the coolant level and see if its low. If the coolant level is low...the coolant system will need to be pressure tested and leak pinpointed. If you sure its water...I would look at the black windshield cowl. This cowl channel's away water and could be leaking on the motor. There is windshield washer hoses in the cowl that could be leaking. Good Luck
the wipers till work but they will not park in the down position, correct?
The usual fix for this is to replace the wiper motor pulse board. You can find them at your local auto parts store for about $50
the wiper motor will be under the plastic cowl that is under the wipers
arms. Once the wiper arms and cowl are removed you will see the wiper
motor.
I can give you some more details if you would
like to try to tackle this yourself. The wiper arms can sometimes be a
challenge to remove and often require a small two jaw pulley to press
them off from the posts. If you can get the wiper arms off the rest is a
breeze as long as you have some basic tools and a set of torx bits.
Hi,
You can sometimes (if you have 2 elbows on each arm) reach around the back of the intake manifold and replace the coil pack using a 1/4 inch rachet with a 7mm socket.
Most of the time you need to remove the plastic cowl assembly located under the windshield wipers. To do this remove both wiper arms by lifting the plastic covers at the bottom of each wiper arm. Remove the 15mm nuts that hold the wiper arms down and wiggle the arms while pulling upwards until they come off (take note of which is left and right, they are different sizes). Next remove the plastic phillips screws/ plastic rivets that hold the cowl down on the bottom towards the engine(the screw comes up half way and when you pull up the base/ rivet comes up with it).
Next pull up on the cowl where it meets the windshield left or right side and you will hear the retainers snap and release. Continue pulling until the cowl is loose. Next disconnect the hoses that go to the washer nozzles. Put the cowl aside.
Next remove the micron filter located on the passengers side of the cowl (if it has one it is a good time to replace it). Remove from left to right 8or 9 8mm bolts that hold the lower cowl down. On the drivers side disconnect the 8 pin connector for the wiper motor. Now disconnect the washer fluid hose that goes thru the cowl on the passengers side. Lift up on the cowl and you should be able to wiggle it out and set it aside. You can now see the coil pack behind the intake manifold. Take note of spark plug wire location on the coil pack because they have to go back on in the same order.. Reassemble in reverse order. Note that while the cowl is off it is a great time to replace the spark plugs on the back of the engine.
Good luck to you and congratulations for doing it yourself
