this noise is caused by a noisy clutch throw-out/release bearing, that is the part that presses against the pressure plate and disengages the clutch disk, the transmission must be removed to replace this part, so it is best to replace the clutch assembly at the same time, the labor for both is the same, about 5 hours

this sounds like it could possibly be a noisy thrust bearing in the gearbox itself

That will be your clutch release bearing.It should be ok, if noisy for a while but make sure you change it with the next clutch assembly change.

Sounds like the clutch through out bearing might be bad.Is it hard to shift?Does the pedal come up high befor the clutch engages?

make sure that you have enough oil in the bike. if so there is nothing to worry about. Ducati's have the same sound.

I believe they all do that sir. Certainly mine does and has for the 10,000 miles I've put on it.
