The two rear corners of the riders seat can be pulled back, you will find two allen head screws, simply remove them and the seat can be removed exposing the battery.
Unlock the seat with the key on left side near back right over the back peddal for the backseat rider and pull up on the back of the seat, the battery is under your seat which is where you also store stuff. Hope this helps.
