Unlikely. Squeaking is usually caused by dirt - go out and give it a good thrash, including some really hard braking...

Adjust your throttle cable and then set the correct idle on the carburator by turning the idle contol screw until it runs at a steady low idle

is it still under the 2 year warranty? check with your dealer...if it is electrical that should be covered! probably a relay.
