could be a safety shutdown by computer, only your dealer can erase the code....and then you'll find out whats wrong...and why the computer doesn't want you starting and damaging the bike.......Good Luck to you friend....Tim

According to the bible - Cylinder 1 running problem.
Remove and replace all the plug leads, remove the battery + lead for more than 15 mins to clear.
If it re-occurs, check your plugs.

The error code 12 on your bike is a crankshaft position sensor malfunction. Just means you should replace that sensor.
