SOURCE: ducati starter motor
I have 2 monsters in my barn right now, the starter motor is, well is not the easiest. First, is it the starter gone bad or the relay? Check the fuse. Then check the relay, bottom right of the air filter housing, rubber mounted, make sure it cliks when the key is on and the starter button is hit, then check the battery, make sure it is good, then if all this checks out, check the wiring. If it is still a bad starter, remove the crank case cover on the left, rotate the starter gear to align the bolt, unscrew the 3 bolts, and replace the gasket when putting in the new starter. Don't forget to take the battery negative off, and wire on the starter motor. Good luck.
SOURCE: How do I cancel the service indicator on my ducati
sadly its like the ones on cars you have to take it to a dealer to plug into there machine and reset it, then they charge you the earth for two minute job, try to ignore it and just make a record when it needs to be serviced again
SOURCE: hi how do i get the front seat off and what i can
Not sure about getting the seat off but get some sheepskin like what is on carseat covers.there is 2 types.Lambswool is shorter and the wool is curly.the real leather is not as thick and doesn't last as long as sheepskin. This leather is thicker and the wool pile is a lot closer together and thicker. It is cut about 3/4 of an inch long.It is stronger and tends to keep its comfort better.I rode across Australia with some under my bum on a Desmo.Bum was ok but back was still sore:)AND it comes in a variety of colors.Hope this helps
