95 cadillac eldorado engine stalls, rough idle, check engine light is on. we just changed the alternater in the car last week has new battery. the was running fine yesterday on the first drive today we got these symptoms?
My son has this same car with the same problem. So far after tune up and other process of illimination, the problem points to the catalytic converter. If it is clogged you will get this problem with the rough idle and stalling. Look under the car at night after running it and see if the catalytic glows red. If so you need a new one. Hope this helps.
I have a 1994 Cadillac Eldorado and every time i start it the car has rough Idle and the Idle fluctuate's. I also can feel it in the gas pedal when the car is doing this I tried replacing the throttle body sensor but it still does it I also was told it was the Idle error sensor. So instead of spending the unecessary money again I thought I would go online and see if anyone could help me with this problem.
I have a 95 eldorado that is starting hard and idling rough. Also noticed gas pedal fluctuating. I have been told it is the Fuel Pressure Regulator. Does that sound reasonable?

I did a self diagnostics and other then the hard to start problem and sheck engine light I get a p039 code. I am hoping not to have to spend a huge amount on it but if i have to I will do what it takes to fix it.
My check engine light is coming on too. I changed the speed censor and it is still coming on. I even put in the fuel system cleaner and it still occasionally comes on. I was getting the PO76 code. what's up with that?

i have a 1995 eldorado with these same symptoms.rough idle,stalls out of the blue,i too can feel the gas pedal go down when i'm not on it..that's when i didn't get it looked at so as time went on it only has gotten worse (undriveable) it only starts when it wants to only when it does it idles like crazy jumping up and down(rpm) and now i can here a ticking noise comeing from the coil pack or around it....please help

Replaced the alternator then three weeks later the charge battery light came on yesterday but started fine then and today. Stopped to get food at a drive thru the service vehicle light soon came on and barely had power when I hit the gas pulled into my driveway less then a block away now the car won't even turn over
