If you had cleaned the carb, it can be tested for the gas flow , now if this is good and you have a good igntion spark on the plug , the engine must start without any issue. So if there is no intensity on the spark, check the ignition coil, check the HT wires and the plug and most important the Ignition switching.

Had same problem with my sons 2000 1100. Was told by mechanic that the High RPM Jet was clogged and to clean carb. I filled the tank, put 1/3 of a can of Seafoam carb/injector cleaner, by the end of the week it was running 100 mph again.

2007 vstar 650 custom has set for about a year. charged the battery. it would not idle. now it won't fire at all. i put carb cleaner in with the gas but i cant get it to stay running to do its job.

Take the plugs out clean or replace em' then try to crank it again......If you still don't get anything then you may have to take off the ol' carb and cleaner up..........what kind of carb cleaner did you put in with the gas??

Got a 2003 vstar 650 silverado..bout 2200 miles on it. bike has been sitting for a log time..cranked when i got it ran fairly smooth..out of the blue will only crank with full choke.soon as you touch...

the gas nowadays goes bad and can tarnish (if you will) really fast you should proably remove carb.soak for 24hr.s in a high flash solvent and blow out all passages

Only 222 miles 04 VStar 650 Custom Rough Idle, new gas, new plugs

poor tickover is in the pilot circit. does it smooth out at half throttle? what condition do the plugs show after a long tickover?
if you didn't really really clean the carbs (full disassembly, all ports checked for good continuity) then go back and take them apart.
