When driving or starting the car i notice when using the brakes it makes a squeaking noise - not all the time think its possibly damp causing it as it was raining yesterday and it happened but no rain today and no noise and never happened before when i used to store it in the garage. Also most concerning is when I drive with or without passengers the passenger side makes a knocking/clanking noise. Just had the rear left passenger suspension spring replaced but been making that noise for a while - got no clue what it is or could be and dont want to take it into the garage without an idea so i dont get ripped off

Alternator belt is loose or there is oil on the pulleys or belt making it slip instead of charge the battery. Check belt tension on your belts

Throughout my experience with Toyota's I have found that several times the hubcaps have made some weird noises. Try removing your hubcaps and driving your vehicle. If the noise still persists please let me know and I can ask u some questions and try to help you with your problem.

It is either your serpentine or another belt such as an alternator belt causing the squeak.

This can be resolved by either replacing the belt or making sure the tension is correct.

If it is a serpentine then replacing it will be necescary if it is alternator belt there are ways to tighten it.

Belt dressing is another temp fix for the squeal. the belts become glazed over time and will squeak and chatter spray some belt dressing on it and the squeak will go away for a while.
