The bolts holding the oil filter cover on a 1994 yamaha 535 virago will not come off with moderate force. any suggestions on how to remove without twisting the bolts off?

You will need a good solid punch or a straight piece of metal, solid and long enough to hit with a good sized hammer. It will have to be small enough to just hit the head of the bolt. Put the punch on the bolt and smack it hard. That should jar it enough to come loose easier. Try this....

Removing virago handlebars

Hi there are 4 m8 Allen head bolts use an m6 Allen key turn anti clock wise , beware there are two arrows these need to be put back facing up wards ,if you can't see the bolts there are silver buttons covering them there just pressed in a flat screwdriver will remove these try not to be to hard and scratch the sounding metal best of luck

Hello, I have a 1993 yamaha xv535, and i have 2 problems: oil on the air filter and the second problem is speed, she only do 120 km/h.

motor sounds tired as oil in air filter can mean worn rings and leaking compression into crancases and then forcing oil into air filter.comp or leak test will give answer

Yamaha Virago XV700 - 1987 Seat Removal

Most Yamaha models have 2 bolts holding the seat on, usually located between the top shock mounts and the side covers. You should be able to find them without too much trouble, but remember- they are metric. Hope this helps.
