SOURCE: 2006 yamaha roadliner 1900 rattle under gas tank

You will find using a premium fuel or an additive will rectify this is over time. If using standard Unleaded fuel will dry out the valves making this noise. Noise is more noticable after using Ethanol / Blended fuels.

I HAVE A 06 ROADLINER 1900 FIRST OIL CHANGE I USED YAMAHA OIL SYN. BLEND, BECAUSE DEALER SAID FULL SYN. WOULD CAUSE CLUTCHS TO SLIPP.WANT IS THE BEST OIL TO USE AND FULL OR SYN. BLEND

I also have an 06 Roadliner. I use 20w50 Lucas sythetic motorcycle oil with great results. Will later switch to Rotell T Synthetic 5w40 (Dark Blue Jug at Walmart) as it costs alot less than Lucas.
