Town and Country Van running out of gas and guage says half a tank what could be the problem?

If your fuel gauge is showing you in accurate readings this is normal to all vehicles that are not used to fill-up gas full regularly but sometimes the cause of the inacuracy is due to faulty float valve in the gas tank you need to replace it

How will i know my fuel has gone done if my bike does not have a meter to show?

Many don't have fuel gauges. You have to open the filler and look inside the tank.
If you have a tripometer you can get a general idea of your MPG and reset it when you fill up. Or make a note of where the miles are at on the odomenter.

I purchased a gas tank for my '07 Deuce and had it painted. The problem is that I did not notice that it does not have the bracket inside the tank for mounting the fuel level sender. Is there an option for...

To mount a fuel gauge in the tank, the left side "fuel inlet" must be designed for the sending unit and gauge. I'm afraid that there is no way to modify your tank much less without ruining your new paint.

Do like all of us old timers do, about every 150-200 miles, stop for fuel. Evidently your bike is equipped with a carb or you'd have a large hole for mounting the fuel pump and such. I'd put a Pingel manual petcock on the tank. They are worth the money and it may save you from a major headache in the future. If you're still running the original petcock, it is vacuum operated and will sooner or later get a hole in the diaphragm. Then you'll be stuck somewhere with a full tank of fuel but none in the carb. Put the petcock in the "ON" position and fill the tank. Ride until your engine runs out of gas and not the miles it took to do this. This is how many miles you can go before you need to find a station. I've got a '94 FXDWG that the fuel gauge quit many years ago. I've also been riding since 1966 and I never had a fuel gauge until I bought this bike. Old bikers rock.

After starting my 2009 BMW R1200GS the fuel guage showed over half a tank, it was warming up and then the low fuel warning light came on. The fuel guage is completely blank, no bars at all. Any thoughts on...

The fuel gauge sensor on my 2008 1200GS Adventure was defective and needed replacement. On my first ride after buying it new from the dealer it showed full (all bars), but ran out of gas on my first ride. No further problems, and it is now 40,000 miles.
Hope this helps.

2005 BMW 1200st fuel indicator went to zero and the pump flashes when I have a full tank. This first happened on a road trip then went away and has now returned

I have been told by my dealer that the 2005 GS fuel gauge reads full until it the tank becomes 1/2 full then it drops to 1/2. I have had a similar problem to yours but it cleared itself. I keep an eye on my miles riden per tank as BMW will not admit it has a sending unit that is not up to par.

When I fill up my fuel tank, the fuel gauge goes to empty and fuel light blinks eight times. After several miles down the road, the gauge will finally go to the full mark and the light will stop blinking....

i think that the problem you face is due to your fuel gauge more than the battery .
the fuel gauge at full tank can be running out of sensor due to faulty gauge mechanism . i would not worry too much as this is common even in cars .
My advise to you is not to over fill your tank and this will resolve your problem .

Gas Gauge not reading correctly

The most likely culprit is the sending unit in the tank. They are relatively easy to change, as long as you don't have much fuel in the tank. It's a mechanical unit that has a float that raises and lowers with the fuel level, however with age, the floats can develop leaks and no longer float, of the electronic portion of the unit can go bad and not register the proper level. They are replaced and an entire unit, so it doesn't matter which happened, you will need to change the fuel tank sending unit.
