I had an accident about 5 months ago and havent tried to turn my bike on since then, until last night. It wouldnt turn on with the kick nor the e-start. Im not sure if its possible that the battery is too low, or even if it is necessary to have it fully charged to turn it on. when I tried with the e-start it makes a sound as if it trying to make contact but it doesnt. Even tried pushing the bike, the lights went on and it seemed like it was about to start but nothing. Any ideas?

Almost certainly the battery, needs to be fully charged to be effective.

I have 2006 super glide I just picked up a teo months ago. I rode it for a few days. I was out on it last week in the heavy rain. When I went to start it yesterday it was dead. I put the battery...

The battery on most motocycles cant take much abuse. Most batteries on bikes with proper care last about three or four years. If the one you have is this age or older I would purchase a new one.Good Luck.

My ER5 Clicks instead of turns on

Check if the battery has 12 volts.
Check the battery terminals if they are corroded with acid deposit. Clean them if they are, by using a wet sponge, wet it with water and let it stay for a while on the terminals this will ease off the corroded acid deposits.
If the battery is ok and if there's no acid deposit on the terminals , thn you have to check the starter motor, it may need to be overhauled.
Better too to check the solenoid switch.
Hope this helps!

NEW ALTERNATOR, 1 MONTH OLD BATTERY, PROBLEM TURNING ON

zSounds like you have a bad ground situation. There is a grd to the engine from the bat and one from engine to the body at the rear of the engine. chk them both for clean tight connections. Good luck. Your baterry should charge between 13.6 -14.2 range.

Kick start is jammed

Put the bike in 3rd, 4th or 5th gear, the higher the better. Sit on the bike, with your hand off the clutch lever, and rock the bike back and forth to rotate the clutch hub. This might free up the lever. You will need to drain the oil and remove the right side casing to see and service the kick starter. If I recall correctly, there is a spring clip that allows the kick gear to engage the clutch hub. The piece could be broken, weak or out of position.

Wont fire turns over faster than normal

if you still havent started the bike yet from sitting.then i dont think the choke has anything to do with your problem.but ether way take the plugs out.I think your piston rings are frozen from sitting.did u winterrize it?with the plugs out pour a little auto trans fluid in each cylinder.very little.now crank the bike over to coat the cylinders. becareful it could be messy now let the bike sit overnight.the next day crank bike over again.but this time for a few tries.then install fresh plugs.and try to start it.p.s there will be white smoke from the transmission fluid. that will go away in a couple of minutes.then all should be good.

Transmission or cv joints?

It sounds like the Universal Joints are out on the Driveshaft.
