What is the besg fuel to use for my 2007 stratoliner? I am currently using premium and i have developed a tick when running. I was told to use premium but I dont have the owners manual to check it.
Use the highest octain you can find. I also put in an ounce or two of Seafoam fuel treatment. This helps with the ethenal issues. These bikes don't like ethneal. Ticking sound on top of engine usually points to sticking valves. Run through a good fuel treatment for a couple of fill up, it may just clean up some of the carbon and gunk, have the valves checked. Fuel treatment works folks, will even keep many of your sensors in good working order. Use premium gas when you do the treatment..
It is part of the waste gate just above the gas tank. It periodically checks for leaks and pressurizes and releases. Gives a ticking noise when it does this. Not a problem and GM is aware of this and said its normal on our cars.
